Hi, Iām Scott.
I make bags and gear designed for real use across a wide range of outdoor activities and travel.
I like to get out and explore the world, and I like to build things. Ripple and Rock is where I combine those passions.
My bag making began in 2016 with a borrowed sewing machine and a repurposed army surplus duffel bag. That first bikepacking frame bag was funky and functional, and opened a world of possibilities to me for creating purpose built gear for fun times outside.
My designs are informed by time spent thru-hiking, whitewater rafting, travelling, bikepacking, backpack hunting, and moving between all of it. A bag should be just as useful at the river as it is on the road, in the mountain, or in daily life. Everything is made to be functional first. That means durable materials, simple construction, and features that solve common problems without adding unnecessary complexity.
